holidays!

so the holidays this year were prettyyy crazy! the reason for that is that it was mine and andrews first christmas together! and it was so so great. :) but it was alot of bouncing around from house to house. so anyway.. christmas eve we spent the first half with andrews family.. we went to dinner and had a little story time and the girls were all princesses / angels (mckennas request) so we all wore bows and crowns on our heads. :)
and then andrew and i headed back to my parents house.. where we did the traditional sibling gift exchange and made gingerbread houses. my sister got us these mugs (yay for the office!)

and then christmas day was a whirlwind of presents and laughter and nintendo and family.. and then the next day we headed down to arizona to spend some time with andrews grandparents. they live on a man made lake and it is GORGEOUS! andrew loved getting up early to go fishing!! (and its the first time in our marriage that he would get up before me ha) but how cute is this picture?! mckenna wanted to fish with him. :)

the whole weekend was a blast. EXCEPT that they have a cat. and i am super allergic. so i got real sick and lost my voice and whispered the whole trip ha and then got home to discover i had laryngitis. good times.

but i loved spending time with andrews family!! i love them all so much. and i feel like i fit in really well and its just great that andrew and i both get along with each others family! i love it!

and let me take a second to talk about little mckenna.. i love this girl with all my heart. my new little sis. she is just so cute and fun (and can get kinda bossy and cranky but still a cutie)

and one time.. i was babysitting her and we went swimming and i kept whiping under my eyes to make sure my mascara wasnt running and she asked me why i kept doing that.. and i said i dont want to get black under my eyes. and a few minutes later she started whiping under her eyes and saying, "i keep getting black under my eyes."
-sigh-
i love her.
