i love this baby of mine. he/she is soo sneaky. i can only feel him/her moving when I'm completely NOT paying attention. and then I'll realize that i felt the baby move, and then i can't feel it anymore. sneaky little soul. i can't wait to find out what we are having. (2 days!) although i refer to the baby as a boy all the time now, and so does Andrew. we even started calling him by his (possible) name. it'll be weird to change that if it's a girl. I'm amazed by how much i love this person already.. and although i still have all sorts of doubts and concerns (biggest one - how am i gonna work full time? WHO is gonna watch my kid?!) but lately I've been feeling like somehow, someway, SOMETHING is going to happen to make everything work out. i think Heavenly Father is just looking out for me. i was having such bad anxiety attacks in my first trimester that i would have trouble catching my breath.. and my heart would just pound out of my chest.. but i would say a little prayer, or sing a hymn, and i would calm down again. and now i don't even get worked up. as soon as i start to worry, i feel comforted. it is really amazing, and such a blessing. :)
anyway.. a little preggo update. i am in full on nesting mode. those of you who know me, know that i hate cleaning. i would rather deal with a mess. but lately, i'll be laying down watching tv, or reading a book, and i'll think to myself, "the piano is really dusty." or "i should really vacuum the family room." or "there's laundry in the dryer that needs to be folded." last night andrew was doing homework, and i was supposed to be going to bed early, and he came into the master at 10:30 and i was scrubbing the wall in the bathroom. (in my defense, it had smudges.) and i am always itching to decorate something or other in my house. i want to make fun things to hang on the bare walls in our bedroom. like these:
i REALLY want to rearrange the furniture in the front room. i want to build shelves so i can display the nick-knacks and picture frames that i still have packed away from our move. but in the last couple of weeks, our house has undergone a mild transformation. obviously the biggest being the front yard, but we got a new dresser and now the bedroom is just gorgeous. it's my favorite room. i want every room to be as pretty as our bedroom. and i just can't wait to get started!! :)
