nesting.

i have mentioned a couple of times that i am in full on nesting mode.. i LOVE keeping my house clean. like spic-n-span. which is so unlike me. but my hubby sure loves it. :) but anyway.. what i love even more than cleaning.. is decorating. i have SO much i want to do before this baby girl comes! biggest project: shelves. i want a couple of shelves for various purposes in like every room of my house. my sweet father said he'd help me. :) sorry.. i'm rambling. i tried to decorate for thanksgiving.. but seeing as i don't have many decorations.. nor any money to buy said decorations.. my house isn't very fall-y. but this is what i came up with.

Leo wanted to model for everyone. :) anyway.. i got the pine cone idea from Just a Girl. She uses pine cones in a bunch of her fall decor. this year she made a cute cute pine cone wreath. And i get my pine cones pretty free and easy cuz i have some huge pine trees in my backyard. (Not by choice.. but i might as well take advantage, right??) Oh, and seeing as i don't have a fireplace or mantle.. the piano had to suffice. its pretty. it works. i'm happy. 

so my dad isn't available this weekend. so the shelves are gonna have to wait. instead i thought i'd try to tackle painting this baby.  

we got this coffee table from a sweet sister in our ward that was moving cross country and couldn't take it all with her. it was FREE. she also gave us a pretty armoire that also needs a fresh coat of paint.. and then it will find its home in the nursery. :) so wish me luck! big project. especially considering i have no experience with painting or refinishing furniture!
