Letter to Leo

Dear Leo, 

i feel like i have been a little too hard on you lately about that fact that i can't trust you alone in my house. you are a great doggy and i love you to pieces. let's list all the things that i LOVE about you.

• You don't run away when the front door is left open. Or when i take off your leash when we're out. I love that you always want to stay within 6 feet of me when we go for walks. 
• You don't bark. I LOVE THAT. (I guess you bark when you are scared, but that isn't all that often.)
• You don't freak out at the sight of another dog when we go for walks. you are just calm, cool, collected. It's awesome.
• You come when you're called.
• You listen when we say "NO" (most of the time)
• You are so cuddly.
• You are my guard dog when Andrew isn't home. Always lookin out for me. My hero. :)
• You play fetch (and actually bring the ball back!)
• You're potty trained. And it didn't even take that long to train you! I love that you just wait calmly by the door until i let you outside. Such a stud.
• You sleep all night in your crate (even if the door is open) and don't come out until you know we are awake.
• You're learning (gradually) that you aren't a lap dog.. and that it actually hurts when you step on people!
• You "sit" on command. (although you kinda suck at "stay"ing. but its cool. one step at a time.)

Anyway.. Moral of the story is.. You are a GREAT dog! And we do love you! We just really wish you would stop chewing on everything.  If you could stop doing that you would be a (nearly) perfect dog!
