i think Andrew and i are affected by Murphy's Law more than some people.. not all.. just some. It seems that whenever we try to plan something big, something always goes wrong. Like with our house (now that was some DRAMA! just look back at my posts from October 09-February 10), our yard (we spent FOREVER installing a sprinkler system and it worked for a week and then a pipe burst and now we have to water everything with a hose), the TREE that fell in our front yard, the dishwasher flooded like 4 times in the first few weeks we were in our house (luckily, that problem is now fixed), and the list goes on and on. We've gotten pretty good at just rolling with the punches.. so thats why this Valentines Day seemed to be just right up our alley!
Andrew had a nice romantic dinner planned for us. He was gonna grill up some steaks, and i was gonna make some delicious pasta and a salad, and he got us a bottle of bubbly (sparkling cider.. just to clarify) and then we were gonna wrap up the night with some chocolate fondue action. And, depending on the time and how we were feeling, we were gonna go check out city center.. sounds like a fun date, right?! well, Andrew got home around 6. i started making the pasta, and he turned on the grill and... it was out of propane. so.. we decided it would take too long to go get it refilled or whatever, and then make dinner, and then eat it, so we decided to ditch the romantic dinner and instead.. we got McDonald's. fantastic substitute haha so we ate our Mc D's, and then instead of walking around city center.. we just walked around our neighborhood. and then we had our fondue (as planned) and it was DE-licious!
and we watched the Bachelor. :)
after all this we started to realize that our house was really cold.. and i went to turn up the heater only to find that the furnace wasn't working. (seriously?!) and we spent like an hour and a half trying to get it to work. we reset it like ten times, Andrew did some other little tricks that have worked in the past, but alas.. it never fired up. Sometimes i think that someone up above is getting a good laugh at our expense. I'm just grateful it doesn't get that cold in Vegas! Because it really wasn't so bad. Anyway.. despite all the slight changes in our plans.. it ended up being a GREAT Valentines Day! I just love Andrew so much. We have a good time doing absolutely NOTHING. He's my favorite person to spend time with. :) and we are both so excited to spend our time with our daughter! Now if she would just hurry up and make her appearance, I could say my life is PERFECT!

happy valentines day michelle I love you and your cute married life! I'm so excited for you to have your baby!!! <3
