yard work.

this is what our lovely home looked like when we moved in. you may remember me blogging about that tree to the right of the driveway.. if you don't, it's a funny story. you can check it out here. so after that disaster, our yard looked like this:
minus the cute boy standing there. (thanks hunter!) but yeah.. weird random cement circle with rocks in it where a tree used to be.. and just.. dirt. so.. we set to work putting in pavers as a start. my hero of a father and all the fabulous Clarks came over to help out. even Mckenna! (although.. i don't know how much of a help she was haha)

beautiful pavers, right? (THANKS MACK!!) and now we have more room to park in the driveway! score! our next project was the rest of the yard.. (much bigger project. took us another two months to find the motivation.) again.. my wonderful father came to help. along with Christian and Brian. i swear these guys save us on a regular basis.

this is the hole Andrew dug for the tree. it was his pride and joy.
and Brian left to get stuff for a drip line, and returned like Superman with a beautiful tree for the beautiful hole Andrew spent so much time on.

we planted some shrubby-shrubs. (i actually helped with this part.)

so voila!! beautiful yard!! which means we can finally have a house warming party because we aren't ashamed of our house anymore! WOO! i'll let you all know when it is. :)

and I am so proud of Andrew for putting in so much hard work! the day we put in the rock he forbid me from doing anything because he thought i would kill the baby (i did, however, supply water and lemonade). so he worked hard allllll day long, sometimes by himself, sometimes with the missionaries, and sometimes with his brother and dad, but he was so diligent! and he planned out the whole yard himself (because apparently girls are in charge of the inside of the house, and the outside is the man's domain) so good job, babe! you're the best!
